About Limbcare

Founded By: Ray Edwards MBE, Chairman and Alex Hyde-Smith, Supporter.

Limbcare was formed on 8th June 2010 by Ray Edwards MBE (who was the UK's longest surviving quad amputee when he sadly passed away in March 2024), Alex Hyde-Smith, Roy Wright and Barry Perrin to create empathy for all amputees and the limb impaired. With your continued help, you can make someone's life brighter again after becoming an amputee.

We are here for you, and our volunteers are ready to answer your telephone or email enquiries.

Limbcare has access to a vast amount of experience with the added bonus that many Limbcare volunteers are amputees. Membership is not required; all information/advice is offered freely and is available to anyone who wishes to learn more about life as an amputee/limb impaired person and the life opportunities available. We are also here to support families of amputees
